What is Greptile?

Greptile is an AI code review tool that builds a graph of your repository and uses agents to review and test pull requests with that context, flagging bugs, security risks and style issues. It suits teams on GitHub, GitLab and other hosts that want an automated first reviewer. A free Starter plan covers one developer; teams pay per credit.

What can you do with it?

Greptile connects to your repositories, indexes the code into a graph of files, functions and dependencies, and then reviews each pull request with a swarm of agents. The input is a pull request; the output is review comments that point at bugs, security risks or style violations, including issues that span several files. Over time it reads your engineers' comments to learn the team's standards.

Greptile says more than 22,000 teams use it, and lists customers such as Brex. Pro adds cross-repo context, a Knowledge Base MCP and a team analytics dashboard, and Enterprise supports GitHub Enterprise Server, GitLab Self-Managed, Bitbucket Data Center, Gitea and Perforce.

Try it on a small task

Suggested workflow: install it on one repository on the free Starter plan and open a pull request that you know contains a bug, such as a missed null check that breaks another module. See whether the review finds it, how many comments are noise, and whether the explanation points to the right file.

Then reply to one comment with your team's convention and check whether later reviews follow it. Track credits used, because each review consumes them.

Pricing and access

Starter is free for one active developer with 50 credits a month and unlimited repositories. Pro charges $1 per credit, shared across the whole organization, with unlimited developers and agents and no seat fees; a Base review uses 1 credit, a Plus review 3 and an Apex review 10. Pro has a 14-day free trial.

Enterprise is priced on request and adds self-hosting, SSO and SAML, role-based access control and data residency. Greptile is free for qualified non-commercial open-source projects, and pre-Series A startups with under $2M in revenue can get 500 free credits a month for six months.

What stands out
