What is Rork?

Rork is an AI app builder that turns a plain-language description into native iPhone apps in Swift, Android apps in Kotlin or web apps in React, and helps publish them to the App Store and Google Play. Use it to go from an app idea to a testable build without setting up Xcode. Building working apps needs a paid plan from $20 per month.

What can you do with Rork?

You describe an app in plain language and Rork designs the screens, writes the code, runs builds and previews the result. New iPhone apps are written in Swift with SwiftUI, Android apps in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, and web apps in React; Rork previews iPhone apps on a cloud iOS simulator in the browser and Android apps on a cloud emulator. Rork says it stopped creating new Expo (React Native) projects, though existing ones keep working.

You can add sign-in and data with Supabase or Firebase, in-app purchases with RevenueCat, and AI features through hosted providers on paid plans. Rork's guides also cover importing projects from Lovable, Bolt, Replit and other builders through GitHub.

Try it on a small task

Suggested workflow: start in Design mode on the Free plan and describe one small app, such as a habit tracker with three screens. Review the designs and adjust them before you spend build credits.

If you upgrade, build the approved design and test it on your phone. Check that each screen works, what happens without a network connection and where your data is stored. Export the code to GitHub before you rely on it, so you or a developer can continue outside Rork.

Rork pricing and access

The Free plan covers Design mode only, with 5 design credits per day and up to 35 per month in major markets such as the US, UK, Canada and the EU (5 per month elsewhere); it resets each calendar month. Projects are private on every plan, including Free. Rork Pro costs $20 per month with 100 credits and adds Build mode, which turns designs into working Swift, Kotlin or React apps, and dev mode for editing the code. Rork Max starts at $200 per month with 1,000 credits, with 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 credit options, and adds iPad, Apple Watch and Vision Pro apps, iOS widgets, native games and priority support. Paid credits have no daily cap and reset on the monthly anniversary of your first purchase. iOS builds and cloud simulator sessions use additional build credits on top of the message that started them. Cloud credits are a separate balance in US dollars that pays for the AI and cloud features your finished app uses while it runs; Rork gives a one-time $1 to start.

To publish, you need your own Apple Developer account for the App Store and a Google Play developer account. Rork does not host web apps; you export the code and deploy it elsewhere. On paid plans you own the generated code.
