What is Kling AI?

Kling AI is an AI video and image generator for creating short clips from text prompts, images and reference videos, on the web, desktop and mobile. Use it to storyboard an ad or turn a product photo into motion. Its latest model, Kling 4.0, makes 3 to 30 second videos with audio; generated motion still needs careful review.

What can you do with it?

Text or image to video. Describe a scene, or upload a first frame, and Kling 4.0 generates a clip of 3 to 30 seconds at 720p, 1080p or 4K, with two-channel stereo audio, dialogue and lip sync. Kling lists aspect ratios from 21:9 to 9:16. The faster Kling 4.0 Flash makes 3 to 20 second clips at 720p.

Controlled storytelling. You can set up to 10 keyframe images to fix story beats, or combine up to 15 references in one generation: up to 10 images, 5 videos totalling 30 seconds and 7 elements such as recurring characters. This suits ads and short narratives where a character must look the same across shots.

Stills and projects. Kling Image 3.0 generates images up to native 4K, including image series in a consistent style. The Canvas workspace adds an agent that helps write scripts and generate storyboards, images and videos in one project.

Try it on a small task

Suggested workflow: take one product photo you own and use it as the first frame. Ask for a 5-second clip with a slow camera move and a short line of narration, and specify the aspect ratio you need for your channel.

Check the result frame by frame: does the product keep its shape, logo and text, do hands and faces stay natural, and does the voice match the lips? Then rerun with a second keyframe for the ending and compare how much control you gained against the extra attempts it cost.

Pricing and access

Developers use a separate API platform with its own pricing page.
